After all that lust I taste your simple touch. Our nights were all in hers, dark green the park she danced in naked with The Dark Man. She did not take off her clothes but she was naked as a dance is naked being nothing but movement, no way to keep her still, dark green, lights of a drum, bright skin of ordinary songs, naked the way a dancer always is because a dance is nothing but a dream of walking when the only place to go is music. The Garden Unsealed (22nd stanza) Robert Kelly (1985) Thelemic greetings, I hope you're all well and keeping yourselves motivated. Recently I've been having Tai Chi playtime matching forms to my favourite piece of classical Baroque, hardly traditional but fun. Pachelbel's Canon in D works rather well - a slow start which builds up to being quite sprightly and then ebbs away softly. The music will alter the way you move which itself is very insightful, just stay sung as the late, great Tom Petty once said about composing " It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to come from the soul ", same here. I've found that the Cheng Man Ching form works great, simply keep it reasonably slow. Also the Chen 30 form is a good fit. I rarely cover this one in class as it's so close to the intermediate length form, but it's easy to do - just start the long form up to the first set of Cloud Steps then on the third drop into a Punch, Whirl Arms and Buddha's Warrior to finish (yes just like the nine step forms ending). In a world of increasingly selfish and inconsiderate behaviour a peaceful start with some quiet introspection puts you in the right state of mind to deal with the oncoming day, it's a calm pool of strength and even an armour to withstand lifes current challenges and expediencies. Even if you don't feel like doing any form work at the moment just listen to Marnie and Patrick and you'll see what I mean. Have a fine and pleasant morning.
